[Hiring] CPA / Tax Accountant @Atomic HR
Role Description We’re hiring a CPA / Tax Accountant to support US business tax returns (e.g., Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065 ). This is an execution-focused role . You’ll work closely with senior tax professionals and be responsible for:
- Preparing US business tax returns (e.g., 1120 / 1120S / 1065) under supervision
- Working from client financials (trial balance, general ledger) and supporting workpapers (depreciation schedules, K-1s, book-to-tax adjustments, etc.)
- Supporting tax filings and compliance processes (including extensions and state filings as applicable)
- Organizing and reviewing client financial documentation
- Assisting senior accountants with tax preparation and deliverables
- Ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready
- Tracking deadlines and supporting timely submissions during tax cycles
- Communicating clearly with internal teams on progress, blockers, and updates
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in accounting or tax roles
- Hands-on experience with US business tax returns (1120 / 1120S / 1065 or similar)
- CPA (completed or in progress preferred) or EA
- Strong understanding of business tax basics (entity structures, income/expenses, depreciation, deductions, credits)
- Good written and spoken English (critical for this role)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines
- Comfort working in a remote, distributed team
Requirements
- Experience working with US-based clients or firms (bonus)
- Experience in tax season environments (high volume of returns) (bonus)
- Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks, tax software, or Excel (bonus)
- Experience with multi-entity clients (multiple returns, consolidations, or partnership allocations) (bonus)
- Exposure to industries like real estate, SaaS, or investment funds (bonus)
