Role Overview – IT Application Analyst (Data Entry Specialist)

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Application Analyst to join our Corporate Systems Administration (CIS) team in Austin, Texas. This full‑time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $26 and an 8‑hour workday. As a key member of the data engineering and analytics community, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, ensure data quality, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions, guiding junior analysts and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, test, and deploy flexible, high‑performance data pipelines that ingest data from diverse sources such as CSV files, email attachments, arenaflex Workmail, and other enterprise systems.
  • Perform rigorous data validation, error handling, and cleansing to guarantee data integrity, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and product teams to understand analytical requirements and deliver data solutions that meet stringent availability and performance standards.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks or data quality issues.
  • Document data flow diagrams, architecture decisions, and best practices to foster knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Enhance existing applications and tools to improve system efficiency, reduce latency, and support evolving business needs.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis of functional issues, propose enhancements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative approaches that align with arenaflex’s strategic objectives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading data engineering projects, including the creation and maintenance of data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
  • Proven expertise with arenaflex services such as arenaflex S3, arenaflex Lambda, arenaflex Redshift, arenaflex RDS (AuroraDB/MySQL), arenaflex Workmail, arenaflex SES, arenaflex SQS, and arenaflex IAM.
  • Strong command of SQL, including query optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Hands‑on experience with big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, HBase, and Spark (or equivalent open‑source frameworks).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for data engineering, such as Python, Ruby, or Scala.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Experience building reporting solutions using visualization tools like arenaflex QuickSight or PowerBI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as arenaflex (formerly SmartSheet), arenaflex (formerly Asana), arenaflex (formerly HoneyCode), or arenaflex (formerly Powerapp).
  • Knowledge of front‑end technologies (JavaScript, React) for building interactive data dashboards.

  • Experience managing large‑scale data warehousing projects on cloud platforms, including data migration, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Exposure to non‑relational data stores such as object storage, document databases, graph databases, or key‑value stores.
