Role Overview

Working from the comfort of your home, you will support arenaflex’s pharmacy operations by handling data entry, medication counseling, and basic clinical services. You will collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the broader arenaflex team to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Experience & Communication

  • Greet patients virtually, answer their questions, and provide guidance on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Demonstrate empathy through active listening, clear eye contact (via video), and courteous language.
  • Proactively identify patient needs and suggest appropriate services such as medication reviews, immunizations, or health screenings.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives coordinated by the Pharmacy Manager, Regional Director, or Store Leader.

Data Entry & Pharmacy Operations

  • Enter prescription orders accurately into the arenaflex pharmacy system, ensuring correct drug, dosage, and patient information.
  • Perform pharmacy technician duties including compounding, medication verification, and inventory checks.
  • Maintain compliance with arenaflex policies, corporate procedures, and state‑controlled substance regulations.
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with workflow optimization, task delegation, and shift change responsibilities.
  • Execute the “Good Intentions” allocation strategy to guarantee that controlled substances are accounted for and securely stored.
  • Stay current on pharmacy technology updates, workflow enhancements, and best practices to improve efficiency.
  • Handle insurance verification, resolve claim issues, and coordinate with external providers to ensure seamless medication access.
  • Conduct clinical services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and health screenings as authorized.
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in analyzing performance metrics, including financials, customer satisfaction, and inventory turnover.
  • Build and nurture relationships with local healthcare providers, community organizations, and public health agencies.
  • Collaborate with the enrollment team to assist patients with enrollment, eligibility verification, and issue resolution.

Team Development & Leadership Support

  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Provide constructive feedback, monitor performance, and encourage continuous improvement among peers.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by sharing ideas, tracking progress, and aligning with the store’s vision.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current pharmacy technician license in the state(s) where you will be operating.
  • Demonstrated experience with medication dispensing, verification, and compliance processes.
  • Certified Immunizer status or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of retail pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, verification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience delivering clinical services such as vaccinations or point‑of‑care testing.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal controlled substance regulations.
