This hybrid role is integral to cultivating and strengthening relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners to secure vital funding for the organization's programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional fundraising acumen, strategic thinking, and a passion for supporting the arts. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy focused on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gifts ($10,000+). Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporations, to meet annual fundraising goals. Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individual donors, building strong, long-term relationships based on trust and mutual engagement. Develop compelling proposals, grant applications, and other fundraising materials tailored to specific donor interests and requirements. Plan and execute donor cultivation events, including cultivation briefings, recognition ceremonies, and special programmatic events. Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Board members, and program staff to identify fundraising opportunities and engage them in development activities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the CRM database, ensuring data integrity and timely follow-up. Track fundraising progress against goals and provide regular reports to senior leadership. Stay informed about trends in philanthropy, arts funding, and best practices in fundraising. Represent the organization at external events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Mentor and provide guidance to junior development staff. Ensure compliance with ethical fundraising practices and organizational policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Philanthropy, Non-profit Management, Arts Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in securing major gifts. Demonstrated experience in cultivating and managing relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and compelling case statements. Strong understanding of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and prospect research techniques. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce) for database management. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, board members, and volunteers. Passion for the arts and a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape within the arts and culture sector. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility. Experience in event planning and execution is a plus.
