Political Copywriter (Progressive/Liberal)

We’re looking for a political copywriter to add to our team. You must have a deep understanding of current events and politics, how it all intersects, and how to write crafty content for progressive Democratic politicians for email fundraising, text messages, and digital ad scripts. You should be fluent in progressive politics, policy, and movement storytelling, and know how to translate values into messages that inspire people to give. If you intend to use ANY FORM OF AI IN YOUR WRITING, WE CAN DO THAT OURSELVES. DO NOT APPLY. We already know how to use AI. It is not good at truly original creative writing. You’re a great fit if you: Have experience writing for political campaigns, advocacy orgs, or progressive media. Understand how storytelling fuels fundraising. Can originate fresh takes on current events and policy debates, have your own well informed opinions, and have such a deep understanding that you can write from other perspectives as well.
