Error Identification & Resolution

  • Detect discrepancies, broken links, and calculation errors; document findings with clear, actionable notes.
  • Collaborate with data owners, analysts, and department leads to correct identified issues promptly.
  • Maintain a log of recurring error patterns and propose process enhancements to prevent future occurrences.

  • Partner with IT and business intelligence teams to integrate automated validation tools where appropriate.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience in data entry, data auditing, or related roles, with at least 3 years dedicated to advanced Excel usage.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in data management, Excel, or related fields are a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data validation, and macro creation.
  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to spot subtle errors and maintain rigorous standards of accuracy.

  • Knowledge of database concepts (SQL) and ability to import/export data between Excel and relational databases.
  • Certification such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business‑friendly language.
  • Proactive mindset for continuous improvement, including suggestions for automation and workflow optimization.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect complex data structures and understand the impact of each element on overall data integrity.
  • Problem‑Solving: Resourceful in troubleshooting formula errors, data mismatches, and compliance gaps.
  • Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage multiple audit projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work constructively with diverse stakeholders, from frontline data entry clerks to senior executives.
