Arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Engineering & Operations Excellence to lead our global engineering initiatives and drive operational excellence across all regions. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, directing, planning, testing, and executing worldwide frameworks, policies, processes, and decision science tools to reduce operating costs, increase revenues and profitability, and improve service delivery for both internal and external stakeholders. You will support the continued expansion of our Quality Driven Management (QDM) initiatives to ensure continuous improvement drives and help operations in elevating their service levels, profitability, and consistency. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, globally connected environment and is passionate about driving measurable results. ## Key Responsibilities As the Senior Manager of Engineering & Operations Excellence at arenaflex, you will oversee a comprehensive range of responsibilities designed to enhance operational performance and drive organizational success. Your primary duties will include: - Designing, implementing, and optimizing worldwide frameworks, policies, processes, and decision science tools to reduce operating costs, increase revenues, and improve service delivery for our internal and external clients - Providing leadership and direction to advance the human service mindset while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among team members - Supporting the continued expansion of Global QDM initiatives to ensure continuous improvement drives help operations elevate their service levels, profitability, and consistency - Establishing preventive measures to ensure compliance and system functionality as designed, and ensuring business continuity plans are in place and effective - Ensuring that customer commitments are quantitatively measured and reported, and that continuous improvement tools are utilized to target areas where customer retention is at risk - Traveling domestically and internationally as required to support global operations and stakeholder coordination ### Team Leadership & Development - Selecting, training, and developing a staff with the goal of creating a culture that develops employees, evokes discretionary effort, ensures employees complete all required and developmental training within established timeframes, and promotes a continuous improvement and growth mindset - Completing all leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's staff policies and procedures, including but not limited to meeting, recruiting, and training employees, planning, assigning, and coordinating work, evaluating performance, rewarding, instructing, and addressing performance issues - Mentoring and coaching team members to achieve their full potential and advance their careers within arenaflex ### Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence - Ideating and leading continuous improvement initiatives that help enhance operations, increase profitability, drive consistency, and improve the customer experience - Driving the development and maintenance of work policies, best practices, and job guidelines in accordance with engineering standards to ensure the safety of our employees and the public, promote consistency, maximize productivity, and enable the achievement of both service level and efficiency targets - Driving the coordination of worldwide cargo sending capabilities (such as CargoWise) while standardizing system design and usage in alignment with global processes, internal policies and procedures, and global regulatory requirements, including prioritizing request fulfillment capabilities to ensure innovations support business and client needs, and supporting proper testing and validation of technology changes to ensure system functionality as designed ### Business Development & Customer Retention - Ideating and leading initiatives that help drive customer acquisition and retention within the market - Increasing overall knowledge, support of the QDM approach, expertise and certification, and utilization of QDM processes that result in business improvement - Collaborating with global partners to drive cross-functional process standardization and excellence - Performing, reviewing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and following up on all other responsibilities and initiatives as assigned ## Essential Qualifications & Requirements To succeed in this role, you must possess a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and operational knowledge. The ideal candidate will have: - A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field; Master's degree preferred - Proven experience in driving performance, management, and coordination of logistics technology platforms (such as CargoWise) into the global shipping systems landscape, including design, improvement, and execution of automated capabilities and solutions - Strong project management skills; PMP or similar certification preferred - Demonstrated change management and project management experience driving operational excellence continuous improvement initiatives for cross-functional projects - Significant related experience in managing and leading high-performing teams, optimizing processes, and transforming business operations - Solid industry knowledge, proven management experience, and strong human relations and communication skills ### Preferred Certifications & Skills - Six Sigma, Lean, or other ASQ continuous improvement certification; arenaflex QDM Master certification highly preferred - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desired - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with global teams - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of global regulatory requirements and compliance standards ## Career Growth Opportunities & Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to supporting your professional development and career advancement.
