About arenaflex – Pioneering Health Innovation at Scale

arenaflex is a global leader in health‑focused retail and digital services, delivering prescription solutions, wellness products, and cutting‑edge health technology to millions of customers every day. With a heritage that dates back over a century, arenaflex has evolved from a traditional pharmacy chain into a data‑driven health ecosystem that leverages real‑world evidence (RWE) to shape therapeutic decisions, improve patient outcomes, and inform pharmaceutical research. Our mission is to make health information accessible, actionable, and trustworthy for clinicians, researchers, and the communities we serve. As part of this mission, we are expanding our analytics team with forward‑thinking data scientists who can turn massive, heterogeneous data sets into clear, evidence‑based insights.

Role Overview – Information Researcher (RWE) – Remote

We are seeking a highly motivated Information Researcher – Real‑World Evidence to join the Clinical Data Science group at arenaflex. This is a full‑time, remote position based in Orlando, USA, offering a competitive hourly rate of $26. The role reports directly to the Chief, Clinical Data Science and works closely with clinical research, biopharma partners, and internal analytics teams. You will lead sophisticated data extraction, transformation, and analysis projects that support regulatory‑grade evidence generation, health‑economics assessments, and clinical outcomes research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Mining & Normalization: Extract raw data from internal databases and external platforms, cleanse and standardize patient‑level records, and create analysis‑ready datasets for downstream research.
  • Collaborative Insight Generation: Partner with clinical scientists, epidemiologists, and external biopharma collaborators to translate real‑world data into actionable insights that address unmet medical needs, treatment patterns, and cost‑effectiveness analyses.
  • Data Lake Management: Load, curate, and maintain a secure enterprise data lake that supports multi‑disciplinary research while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Statistical & Machine Learning Analyses: Apply advanced statistical methods (propensity scoring, survival analysis, hierarchical modeling) and machine‑learning techniques (random forests, gradient boosting, Bayesian networks) to uncover trends in patient populations and treatment outcomes.
  • Methodology Development: Design robust, reproducible analytical pipelines that meet regulatory standards for real‑world evidence generation, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ISO/IEC guidelines.
  • Study Design & Execution: Contribute to protocol development, feasibility assessments, and execution of observational studies that inform product development and health‑policy decisions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high‑quality, timely, and interpretable deliverables by conducting rigorous data validation, documentation, and peer review of analytical outputs.
  • Dashboard & Reporting: Build interactive visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire) and comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, translating complex findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Vendor & Data Source Evaluation: Assess new data vendors, perform data quality audits, and recommend strategic data acquisition decisions that enhance the breadth and depth of arenaflex’s evidence portfolio.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or related field).
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing rigorous observational research studies using health‑care data.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools and languages such as R, Python, SAS, or Stata.
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one business‑intelligence platform (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, Alteryx, or similar).
  • Strong background in handling large, multi‑source datasets, including claims, electronic medical records (EMR), and registries.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security standards for protected health information (PHI).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MSc) in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field.
  • Experience with real‑world data (RWD) platforms, health‑economics modeling, and outcomes research.
  • Familiarity with clinical data standards and vocabularies (ICD‑9/10, SNOMED CT, LOINC, Read Codes).
  • Exposure to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance frameworks (ISO 13485, MDR, CFR 21 Part 11).
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based data engineering tools (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data‑lake architectures.
  • Ability to develop and implement Bayesian statistical models, time‑series forecasting, and causal inference techniques.
  • Passion for continuous learning in AI/ML, data science, and emerging health‑technology trends.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to design reproducible, transparent analytical workflows that withstand peer review and regulatory scrutiny.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive approach to identifying data gaps, proposing methodological solutions, and delivering actionable insights.
  • Collaboration: Strong teamwork orientation; comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal presentation skills; experience preparing scientific manuscripts, executive summaries, and visual dashboards.
  • Technical Agility: Quick adaptation to new tools, programming languages, and data environments.
  • Ethical Stewardship: Commitment to data privacy, patient confidentiality, and ethical use of health data.

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional growth of its employees. As a member of the Clinical Data Science team, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship from senior scientists and industry experts in real‑world evidence generation.
  • Sponsored certifications (e.g., Certified Health Data Analyst, GCP, SAS Advanced Programming).
  • Internal learning portals offering courses on advanced statistical methods, cloud analytics, and AI/ML applications in health care.
  • Opportunities to present findings at conferences, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and contribute to white papers that shape industry standards.
  • Cross‑functional project rotations that broaden exposure to product development, regulatory affairs, and market access strategies.
