We are currently hiring a Remote Data Entry & Application Development Specialist to support our supply chain generation projects. This position is available on both part-time and full-time bases, offering an annual compensation of $72,000 for full-time equivalent hours, with prorated compensation available for part-time schedules. This is a fully remote role open to candidates located anywhere within the United States.
About the Role
This role contributes to arenaflex's continued success by delivering and supporting critical supply chain technology projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-scale products that span across multiple business capabilities, including Supply Chain Planning (Demand, Supply & Replenishment) and Product Information Management.
As an Application Development Senior, you will collaboratively identify, design, develop, and implement technology and process solutions that establish key business capabilities and platform functionalities. These efforts will enable the realization of strategic initiatives and operational improvements across the organization. This position requires deep technical expertise, domain knowledge, platform intensity, and leadership capability. Typical responsibilities encompass requirements analysis, solution design, technical development, and process improvement, coupled with the ability to drive initiatives and solution enhancements effectively across various IT and business functions.
Beyond delivering new technology and enhancing or supporting existing systems, an effective Application Development Senior contributes relevant technical, functional, and procedural knowledge, negotiates and drives alignment across teams, and coaches and mentors less experienced developers. Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Data Entry & Application Development Specialist at arenaflex, your core duties will include:
- Leverage established design patterns and industry standards to develop scalable solutions for complex enterprise challenges within the supply chain domain.
- Participate actively in activities related to requirements gathering and functional specification documentation to ensure alignment between business needs and technical deliverables.
- Engage in solution design, architecture reviews, and core platform enhancement initiatives that drive long-term technological advancement.
- Ensure software development standards are met by participating in engineering reviews and code quality assessments with the team.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices to shape a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with team members to recommend and evaluate new software development technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis on production incidents, resolve complex technical problems, and mitigate their impact on business operations.
- Fulfill responsibilities for on-call support, including capacity coverage through pager rotation as required.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of team knowledge bases for current and ongoing project work.
- Contribute to large-scale projects and programs using both Waterfall and Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methods and methodologies.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry operations across enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity, quality, and consistency.
- Support the integration of data workflows between multiple platforms and reporting tools.
Fundamental Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following foundational experience and skills:
- 3+ years of application development experience, exposed to all levels of development—from initial design through production support and maintenance.
- 3+ years of experience working with Oracle EBS modules, including Master Records and the Planning Suite of applications. Exposure to Oracle EBS version 12.2+ is required.
- Strong experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Applications Framework (OAF), Oracle Forms (10g), Oracle Reports, UNIX Shell Scripting, Workflow, and XML Publisher.
- Exposure to various demand, supply, and replenishment planning solutions such as O9, Logility, and Oracle VCP is strongly preferred but not required.
- Proven expertise in modern programming languages including Java and Python, with mastery of object-oriented design and programming principles.
- Development, troubleshooting, and debugging experience with REST APIs and web services.
- Any operating experience in integration technologies like Apache NiFi, Hadoop, and PySpark would be a significant plus.
- Experience developing data pipelines using Spark, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and other ETL tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Working knowledge of distributed data technologies including Hadoop, MapReduce, and Spark.
- Exposure to reporting solutions such as Nicotra or similar enterprise reporting platforms would be beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including automated testing and deployment.
