Position Summary

The Senior Data Analyst role at arenaflex is a pivotal position within the Healthcare Quality Improvement program. You will partner with cross‑functional teams of data scientists, BI engineers, platform architects, and business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and predictive modeling initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Engineering

  • Lead the design, development, and operationalization of end‑to‑end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store large‑scale healthcare datasets from internal arenaflex systems and external sources.
  • Implement and maintain data warehouse solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, HITECH).
  • Develop and enforce best‑practice ETL/ELT processes using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, and Purple‑Blue Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate data pipelines into arenaflex’s cloud environment, optimizing for cost‑efficiency and reliability.

Analytics Enablement & Reporting

  • Partner with business intelligence teams to translate raw data into actionable insights for the arenaflex Health Quality Improvement program.
  • Build and maintain semantic data models that support self‑service reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
  • Provide data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership, helping shape strategic initiatives around patient outcomes, cost containment, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop automated data quality checks, validation routines, and monitoring dashboards to ensure data integrity across all pipelines.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between technical teams (data engineers, data scientists) and business stakeholders (clinical operations, finance, product management) to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet both technical and functional expectations.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote data literacy and empower non‑technical users to leverage analytics tools effectively.
  • Support the creation of internal tools that automate data‑related processes such as data profiling, data lineage tracking, and metadata management.

Project & Initiative Leadership

  • Own the delivery of data‑centric projects from concept through production, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints are met.

Essential Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in SQL, Python or Scala for data manipulation; demonstrated ability to write, tune, and optimize ETL/ELT scripts.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), and orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory).
