The Role: Automotive Analyst – SDV, E/E & Semiconductor The Team: The analyst will be part of a global team of experts specializing in Software Defined Vehicles, E/E architectures and Semiconductors. Our team is part of a broader group of analysts worldwide, researching the vehicle market and its technologies, maintaining our position as the undisputed global market leader. The North American analyst will interact daily with colleagues across the globe and work closely with the local sales team and other analysts in North America covering the local vehicle market and related technologies, such as autonomous driving, connected cars and batteries. We value a global mindset, collaboration, and continuous learning, ensuring our research remains relevant and impactful in the rapidly evolving automotive landscape. Responsibilities and Impact: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on semiconductors, advanced electronics architectures and SDV (Software Defined Vehicles). Research the supply chain for centralized E/E Architectures and Systems-on-chips (SoCs) Provide insights and forecasts on market trends and technology developments within the SDV and electronics spaces. Build and maintain a strong industry network with car makers, suppliers (from software to system to chip level), and tech companies in North America to gather valuable insights and collaborate on research initiatives. Collaborate with global teams to integrate regional insights into broader research initiatives. Work closely with the local sales team to support business development efforts in the region by providing market intelligence and strategic insights. Present findings to internal stakeholders and external clients to support strategic decision-making. Contribute to publications and reports that highlight the impact of SDV, centralized E/E Architectures and semiconductor technologies on the automotive industry. Engage with industry leaders and participate in relevant conferences to stay updated on the latest advancements. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.. 2 plus years of experience in the automotive electronics industry or in market research, with a focus on business development or market analysis. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with or alongside sales teams to support business development. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing industry landscape and manage multiple priorities. Strong presentation skills and the ability to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences. About S&P Global Mobility: S&P Global has recently announced the intent to separate our Mobility Segment into a standalone public company. Right to Work Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in Mexico. Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $40,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
