Role Overview

arenaflex’s Business Strategy and Operations team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Data Scientist – Impact Measurement & Causal Inference to join its remote workforce. In this role you will partner with product leaders, engineers, and senior executives to translate ambiguous business problems into rigorous analytical frameworks, design and execute causal research studies, and communicate actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Research & Analysis

• Design, implement, and lead end‑to‑end causal research projects that answer high‑stakes business questions for arenaflex’s video and advertising products.
• Develop experimental designs, including randomized controlled trials and quasi‑experimental approaches, to evaluate product launches, feature changes, and marketing initiatives.
• Translate complex, unstructured business problems into clear, testable hypotheses and data‑driven solutions.
• Produce robust statistical models (e.g., Bayesian hierarchical models, BART, Bayesian Causal Forest, Gaussian Processes, Synthetic Control) to estimate treatment effects and quantify uncertainty.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to define key performance indicators, measurement frameworks, and success metrics.

Data Engineering & Insight Delivery

• Extract, clean, and transform large‑scale datasets using SQL, Python, and statistical tools such as R, SAS, Stata, or MATLAB.
• Build reproducible analytical pipelines and dashboards that surface real‑time insights for product and leadership teams.

Minimum Qualifications
