Board Secretary (Volunteer - Women’s Health Nonprofit) Girlie Foundation, Inc. Remote | Volunteer Board Position | Approximately 2–4 Hours per Month About Girlie Foundation Girlie Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, accessible, science-based menstrual and hormonal health education to girls and women through digital education tools, school and workplace partnerships, and community outreach initiatives. Our vision is a world where every woman, regardless of income, location, or background, has access to the knowledge and tools she needs to confidently manage her health. Position Overview Girlie Foundation is seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Board Secretary to join our Board of Directors. This individual will play a key role in maintaining board records, documenting meetings, supporting organizational compliance, and helping ensure effective communication among board members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain nonprofit leadership experience while contributing to a meaningful mission focused on women's health education.
Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate minutes for Board of Directors meetings
- Distribute meeting agendas and board materials prior to meetings
- Maintain official board records and organizational documents
- Track board actions, resolutions, and governance decisions
- Assist with scheduling board meetings and coordinating communications
- Help ensure compliance with bylaws and board governance requirements
- Maintain records of board member terms and contact information
- Support filing and retention of important nonprofit documents
- Collaborate with the Founder, Board Chair, and Treasurer as needed
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar tools
- Interest in nonprofit leadership, governance, or women's health advocacy
- Previous administrative, executive assistant, legal, governance, or nonprofit experience
