About the Role

As a Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will own and drive key analytical initiatives across all internal applications built to support our content finance teams. You will leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to help shape the future of our business intelligence ecosystem, supporting critical functions such as Finance, Talent, and Revenue throughout the entire content creation lifecycle. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions that shape the content millions of viewers enjoy every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build Comprehensive Reports and Visualizations: Design, develop, and maintain robust reports and dashboards that empower finance teams to make informed, data-driven decisions across the content investment lifecycle.
  • Own and Master Financial Data: Develop a deep understanding of arenaflex’s financial data and connect disparate data sets across our studio ecosystem to provide a unified view of content performance and operational health.
  • Drive Advanced Analytics: Utilize SQL, Hive, Tableau, Python, and other modern analytics tools to extract insights, perform deep-dive analyses, and uncover trends that inform business strategy.
  • Ensure Data Quality: Create, monitor, and refine error tracking systems and automated alerts to guarantee that data remains accurate, consistent, and clean across all reporting layers.
  • Translate Business Needs into Insights: Partner with product managers, finance leaders, and non-technical stakeholders to convert ambiguous business questions into clear, actionable reports and analytical models.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams: Work closely with data engineering to prioritize and develop our connected data model, ensuring scalable and reliable data architecture for the entire organization.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Provide analytical support for key business decisions, including content acquisition, talent investments, revenue forecasting, and operational efficiency projects.
  • Champion a Data-Driven Culture: Advocate for best practices in analytics, data governance, and reporting standards across the broader arenaflex organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Professional Experience: 5 or more years of hands-on experience working as a Data Analyst, preferably within entertainment, media, finance, or technology industries.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of SQL and Python, with proven experience querying large and complex data sets.
  • Dashboarding Expertise: Demonstrated experience with modern dashboarding and BI platforms such as Tableau, Dashbuilder, and Looker.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to identify patterns, detect anomalies, and surface opportunities hidden within data.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and rigor, given that outputs inform key business decisions and external reporting obligations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytical concepts for non-technical audiences and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams, drive projects forward, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of data modeling fundamentals and experience designing dimensional data models.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL pipelines and workflow orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with LookML or other semantic modeling languages.
  • Experience working with financial data, including revenue, cost, and content investment metrics.
  • Background supporting finance, accounting, or operational teams in a corporate environment.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
