Associate Attorney - Litigation
AdvisorLaw is a premier firm advocating exclusively for financial advisors and wealth managers nationwide. The associate attorney will gain significant experience in complex civil litigation, arbitration, and appellate advocacy while managing substantive and procedural aspects of various legal proceedings.
Responsibilities
- Represent financial advisors in civil litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings across state and federal courts, appellate forums, and private venues like FINRA, JAMS, and AAA
- Build and maintain enduring client relationships through consistent communication, proactively recommending tailored AdvisorLaw solutions to meet client needs
- Delegate tasks to support staff to effectively meet all deadlines
- Manage a diverse caseload with precision, ensuring timely progress and client satisfaction
- Identify and implement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Conduct or supervise legal and regulatory research, using tools like Westlaw to support case strategies
- Affiliate as of counsel with designated outside law firms for specific client matters
- Perform other duties as assigned by the managing associates and President & Founder
Skills
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active admission to any state bar in the U.S
- Commitment to mastering litigation strategies—including civil litigation, arbitration, negotiation, and mediation—across diverse forums
- Strong legal drafting skills or a dedication to developing them
- Analytical mindset with logical problem-solving skills to articulate issues, gather data, and draw valid conclusions
- Exceptional client relationship skills to foster long-term partnerships
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality
- Ability to thrive in a cooperative, fast-paced, and team-oriented startup environment
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a track record of collaborating with diverse teams

- Availability to start within two weeks of offer acceptance and commitment to full-time in-office work for the three months
