Experienced Salesforce CRM Data Entry Specialist – Returnship Program for Professionals Re-entering the Workforce (Global Remote Opportunity)

Remote · USA Full-time New today

About arenaflex and This Unique Returnship Opportunity

Welcome back to the professional world. arenaflex is proud to launch a transformative returnship program designed specifically for talented individuals who have taken an extended career break due to a life change, family commitment, personal pursuit, or are simply seeking a meaningful career change. This is not just a job—it is a thoughtful, structured re-entry point into the modern workforce, built around flexibility, mentorship, and purpose-driven work that genuinely changes lives around the globe.

Our client is an award-winning nonprofit organization at the forefront of philanthropy and volunteerism, recognized for connecting donors and volunteers with the most effective, vetted charitable organizations across every continent. The organization has been featured on the homepage of Bloomberg, Oprah.com, CBS, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, and has been highlighted in more than sixteen books, including the Harvard Business Review Guide to Delivering Effective Feedback, Arianna Huffington's Thrive, and Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen's Giving 2.0. To date, the organization has matched more than 22,000 volunteers, contributing the equivalent of over thirty-one million dollars in volunteer service hours to communities in need.

As a Salesforce CRM Data Entry Specialist within this returnship at arenaflex, you will play a foundational role in maintaining the integrity of the organization's donor and partner database, ensuring that critical relationship data flows smoothly across teams, and supporting the technology backbone that powers global giving. If you are meticulous, curious, eager to learn, and motivated by work that matters, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of our globally distributed team, your day-to-day contributions will directly support arenaflex's mission to create a world where giving and volunteering are a natural part of everyday life. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Salesforce Data Entry and Management: Accurately input, update, and maintain donor, partner, volunteer, and organizational records within the Salesforce.com CRM platform. You will be the custodian of high-quality data that decision-makers across the organization rely upon daily.
  • Drop-Down Labeling and Categorization: Apply proper drop-down labels, picklist values, and standardized tagging conventions within Salesforce to ensure clean segmentation, accurate reporting, and reliable tracking of constituents, campaigns, and engagement activities.
  • Partner and Client Research: Conduct thoughtful research on the organization's clients and partner organizations using proprietary tools as well as third-party platforms such as Spokeo and Snov.io. You will investigate contact details, organizational structures, and key personnel to build comprehensive profiles.
  • Bio Research and Entry: Research and compile biographical information on partner organizations' leadership and stakeholders, then enter these narratives into Salesforce in a consistent, polished format that supports storytelling, recognition, and partner engagement efforts.
  • Special Project Ownership: With proven success, a growth mindset, and a positive attitude, you will have the opportunity to take on special projects that expand your scope, develop new competencies, and contribute to strategic initiatives beyond core data entry.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Proactively identify inconsistencies, duplicates, or gaps in the database and partner with the wider team to implement corrective actions that strengthen the integrity of the CRM.
  • Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Work seamlessly with teammates across more than twenty countries, time zones, and cultures, building a global professional network that will serve you throughout your career.

Essential Qualifications

We believe that potential, character, and commitment matter as much as credentials. The following qualifications represent the foundation for success in this role:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent professional training and experience. We are also open to current students with strong GPAs and a demonstrated commitment to intellectual rigor.
  • Salesforce Experience: Hands-on, demonstrated experience performing data entry within the Salesforce.com platform. Familiarity with standard Salesforce objects, picklists, and record types is essential.
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: A natural orientation toward accuracy, completeness, and consistency. You take pride in clean, well-formatted records and understand that quality data underpins every great decision.
  • Research Acumen: Comfort using web-based research tools, social platforms, and databases to locate reliable information on people and organizations quickly and efficiently.
  • Self-Direction and Time Management: The ability to thrive in a remote, asynchronous work environment, manage your own schedule, and deliver high-quality work without close supervision.
  • Strong Written Communication: Clear, concise writing skills for crafting professional bio summaries, partner descriptions, and internal documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experiences and attributes will help you excel and accelerate your growth within arenaflex:

  • Prior nonprofit, philanthropic, or social-impact sector experience.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification or completion of Trailhead learning modules.
  • Familiarity with data import/export tools such as Data Loader, Workbench, or similar utilities.
  • Experience working in a global, multicultural, remote-first environment.
  • Fluency in additional languages, particularly Spanish, French, Mandarin, Arabic, or Portuguese.
  • A personal passion for volunteering, community engagement, or international development.

Skills and Competencies for Success

Beyond technical know-how, the most successful members of our team consistently demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Curiosity: A genuine desire to understand the people, organizations, and stories behind every record you touch.
  • Resilience: The ability to embrace a career re-entry with confidence, patience, and a learning orientation.
  • Adaptability: Comfort navigating ambiguity, evolving priorities, and the rhythm of a fast-growing global nonprofit.
  • Integrity: An unwavering commitment to handling sensitive donor and partner information with discretion and care.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Enthusiasm for contributing to a team that spans continents, cultures, and languages.

Career Growth and Learning Opportunities

This returnship is intentionally designed as a launchpad, not a dead end. From day one, you will gain hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, one of the most in-demand business platforms in the world, while building a portfolio of nonprofit and technology-for-good experience that strengthens your resume for years to come. With proven success and a positive attitude, you may be invited to participate in advanced Salesforce training, take ownership of larger projects, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and even pursue pathway opportunities such as J1 or OPT visa facilitation for eligible candidates. Many returnship alumni go on to full-time roles within arenaflex, our partner organizations, or leading companies around the world.

Work Environment and Company Culture

arenaflex's culture is rooted in the belief that a diverse team best serves diverse populations. We are committed to understanding, representing, and welcoming individuals of all ages, genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, nationalities, physical abilities or disabilities, religions or beliefs, and cultural backgrounds. We offer a supportive, flexible, and inclusive remote work environment where every voice is heard and every contribution is valued.

You will join a team representing more than twenty-five cultures and countries, including team members from Russia, China, Japan, Ukraine, Georgia, the Philippines, Haiti, Germany, Canada, the Kurdish region, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Kenya, and many more. This is a rare opportunity to expand your global perspective, build lifelong professional relationships across borders, and contribute to a mission that resonates deeply with millions of people worldwide.

  • Flexible Part-Time Hours: Work between 5 and 20 hours per week on a schedule that fits your life.
