What You Will Do
- Maintain and optimize enterprise data pipelines — Design, build, and support robust, flexible pipelines capable of ingesting, transforming, and storing massive volumes of structured and unstructured data to support advertising operations across arenaflex.com and its affiliated properties.
- Operate across modern cloud platforms — Work hands-on with leading cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to manage data storage, processing, and analytics workloads at scale.
- Develop containerized applications — Build and deploy large-scale, containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring portability, resilience, and efficient resource utilization in production environments.
- Ensure data quality and reliability — Partner with cross-functional teams to validate data accuracy, improve data accessibility, and guarantee the trustworthiness of analytics outputs used by stakeholders throughout arenaflex.
- Execute accurate data entry operations — Input, update, and maintain information within core database systems with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all records meet established quality standards.
- Collaborate across agile teams — Work closely with Scrum teams, Quality Assurance, Product, Program Management, and Partner Operations, contributing to a culture of shared ownership and continuous improvement.
- Participate in on-call rotations — Join 24/7 on-call rotations to investigate and resolve production incidents, partnering with cross-functional teams to restore service and prevent recurrence.
- Champion process improvement — Identify opportunities to enhance existing tools, frameworks, and workflows, raising the technical bar while driving greater efficiency and scalability.

Essential Qualifications
- Proven expertise in data engineering fundamentals, including data modeling, database design, ETL development, and data mining techniques.
- Strong proficiency in core data technologies such as SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, Hadoop, and related frameworks and tools.
- Experience with modern ETL platforms, including Apache Airflow, and a clear understanding of workflow orchestration best practices.
- Solid working knowledge of relational databases (such as Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (such as Cassandra), including schema design and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with real-time message processing using Apache Kafka or similar streaming technologies.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles for efficient storage, retrieval, and analytics.

- Prior experience supporting on-call rotations in a mission-critical production environment.
