As a Remote Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will serve as the first point of contact for pet parents seeking assistance with their pharmacy needs. You will engage directly with customers through inbound calls, emails, chat platforms, and other communication channels, providing knowledgeable, empathetic, and solution-oriented support. Your primary mission will be to ensure that every customer interaction reflects arenaflex's core values of care, expertise, and unwavering commitment to pet wellness.

This role requires a unique blend of compassion, critical thinking, and regulatory awareness. You will be responsible for researching customer concerns, troubleshooting issues, and providing accurate information about pet medications, prescriptions, and pharmacy services — all while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Engage directly with pharmacy customers who contact arenaflex for a wide variety of topics, primarily through inbound calls, but also via email, live chat, and other digital communication platforms. Build rapport quickly, listen actively, and demonstrate genuine care for each customer's unique situation.
  • Problem Resolution: Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customer inquiries and concerns. Follow up diligently as needed to ensure complete resolution and customer satisfaction. Document all interactions accurately in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Exceptional Service Delivery: Go above and beyond to "wow" our customers by engaging with them thoughtfully, thinking critically about their needs, and providing creative solutions while adhering to strict safety, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Pharmacy Knowledge Application: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of pet medications, common pet health conditions, prescription processes, and pharmacy operations to provide accurate and helpful information to customers.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all pharmacy regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies to ensure the integrity of customer information and the safety of all dispensed medications.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and other team members to escalate complex issues and ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training sessions, coaching opportunities, and team meetings to continuously enhance your skills and stay current with product knowledge and industry best practices.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 1–2 years of professional experience working in a customer-focused environment, such as retail, call center, healthcare, pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly, empathetically, and professionally to customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong ability to multi-task, think critically, analyze information, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to shift schedules and work overtime as needed to meet business demands, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regulatory Readiness: Must be able to successfully pass a background check required for obtaining a Kentucky Pharmacy Technician (KY Rx Tech) license.

  • Familiarity with pet medications, veterinary terminology, or animal health products.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.
