Position Overview

The External Support Engineer is the frontline champion for external content creation teams that use the proprietary toolset built by arenaflex’s internal development engineers. You will act as the vital conduit between creative partners and the tools engineering team, ensuring seamless workflows, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement of our content production pipelines. This role is fully remote, offering flexible work‑life balance while maintaining core collaboration hours (10:00 am – 6:00 pm CST) for meetings and cross‑functional syncs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support & Issue Resolution: Serve as the first point of contact for external content teams encountering tool‑related challenges. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems quickly to minimize production downtime.
  • Documentation & Training: Create clear, concise reference guides, tutorials, and onboarding materials. Conduct virtual training sessions to accelerate adoption of new features and best practices.
  • Debugging & Workflow Optimization: Identify root causes of tool failures, reproduce bugs, and work collaboratively with engineers to implement fixes. Suggest workflow enhancements that boost efficiency and quality.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Experience: Minimum of 5 years delivering production‑level code in a professional setting, with a strong foundation in C# and Unity 3D tool development.
  • Support Background: Proven experience supporting live services or tool environments, preferably in a media‑production or gaming context.
  • Tool Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with Jira, Confluence, or comparable defect‑tracking and collaboration platforms.
