Our mission is to transform data into actionable insight, enabling businesses across more than 200 countries to innovate faster, operate more efficiently, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Why This Role Matters

At arenaflex, the data that fuels our products and services is the heartbeat of the organization. As a Remote Data Entry Engineer, you will be at the core of this ecosystem, ensuring that massive volumes of data are captured, validated, and made ready for downstream analytics, machine learning, and real‑time user interactions. Your work will directly influence the reliability, performance, and scalability of arenaflex’s flagship offerings, from cloud storage solutions to AI‑powered search and recommendation engines.

Role Overview

This full‑time, remote position is designed for engineers who thrive on solving complex data challenges at scale. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including product managers, data scientists, infrastructure architects, and security specialists—to design, implement, and maintain robust data entry pipelines that meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high‑throughput data ingestion services using C++ and modern data‑processing frameworks.
  • Implement efficient algorithms and data structures to handle real‑time validation, transformation, and enrichment of incoming data streams.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to define data schemas, quality metrics, and service‑level objectives (SLOs).
  • Conduct comprehensive code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and enforce best practices for style, testability, performance, and security.
  • Write clear, concise documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases, ensuring that new features and updates are well‑communicated across the organization.
  • Diagnose, triage, and resolve production incidents related to data pipelines, working closely with site reliability engineering (SRE) teams to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in architecture design sessions, offering insights on scalability, fault tolerance, and cost‑optimization for large‑scale infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the data engineering community.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience developing software in C++ with a strong emphasis on algorithms and data structures.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in building, maintaining, or launching software products, including at least 1 year focused on software design and architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience working on large‑scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networking technologies, with a solid understanding of compute, storage, and hardware concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role, guiding teams through complex problem‑solving and architectural decisions.
  • Passion for emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, or advanced data analytics.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., arenaflex Cloud, AWS, Azure) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps best practices.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Programming Excellence: Deep proficiency in C++, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and high‑performance code.
  • Algorithmic Thinking: Strong grasp of algorithm design, complexity analysis, and data‑structure optimization.
  • Distributed Systems Knowledge: Understanding of concepts such as consensus protocols, fault tolerance, and data replication.
  • Problem‑Solving Ability: Proven track record of diagnosing complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and scalability challenges.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences, and to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed environment.
  • Security Awareness: Familiarity with data privacy regulations, encryption standards, and secure coding practices.
  • Continuous Learning: Enthusiasm for staying current with industry trends, open‑source contributions, and emerging tools.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

arenaflex invests heavily in the professional development of its engineers. In this role, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship programs with senior architects and industry thought leaders.
  • Sponsored certifications and advanced coursework in cloud technologies, AI/ML, and systems engineering.

  • Cross‑team rotations that broaden your expertise across data engineering, product development, and infrastructure operations.
  • Participation in internal hackathons, tech talks, and research symposiums.
