With a heritage of more than a century in the industry, arenaflex combines deep clinical expertise with cutting‑edge cloud and data technologies to create a seamless, patient‑first experience. Our mission—“Carry our heart to every moment of your health”—guides every decision, from product design to the way we empower our employees. As a forward‑thinking organization, arenaflex invests heavily in continuous learning, diversity, inclusion, and a culture that celebrates curiosity, collaboration, and impact.

Why This Role Matters

In today’s rapidly evolving health‑care landscape, the ability to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable digital services is a competitive advantage. As a Principal DevOps Engineer at arenaflex, you will be the catalyst for a company‑wide transformation, shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and security posture. Your work will directly influence the experience of patients, providers, and internal teams, ensuring that critical health‑care applications are delivered with speed, precision, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end DevOps strategy, defining roadmaps for tooling, processes, and cultural adoption across multiple product lines.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using industry‑leading platforms such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Architect and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) solutions with Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation to provision and govern resources in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Collaborate closely with security, compliance, and reliability teams to embed best‑in‑class security controls, auditability, and observability into every stage of the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Develop and enforce standards for source control, automated testing, static code analysis, and release management, ensuring consistency across all development squads.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve pipeline performance, reducing mean time to recovery (MTTR) and increasing deployment frequency.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies—service mesh, serverless, GitOps, and AI‑driven operations—and evaluate their fit for arenaflex’s strategic objectives.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and proactive problem solving.
  • Produce clear documentation, runbooks, and training materials to support cross‑functional adoption of DevOps practices.
  • Represent arenaflex in external forums, conferences, and community events, showcasing our innovations and learning from industry peers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience building and operating large‑scale, highly available cloud environments on GCP, Azure, or AWS.
  • Deep expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration patterns.
  • Proven track record with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar, including the ability to write modular, reusable code.
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance frameworks relevant to health‑care (HIPAA, HITRUST, GDPR).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a data‑driven approach to performance optimization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with monitoring and observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or Google Cloud Operations Suite.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of security tooling—vulnerability scanning (e.g., Trivy, Snyk), secret management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and compliance automation.
  • Demonstrated mentorship experience, having led technical workshops, brown‑bag sessions, or onboarding programs for junior engineers.
  • Certifications such as Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Background in health‑care or regulated industries, with familiarity of industry‑specific risk management.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Automation Mindset: Passion for eliminating manual toil through code, scripts, and self‑service platforms.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps that balance speed, reliability, and security.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work across product, security, compliance, and operations teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with cloud-native trends, open‑source projects, and best practices.
