Our client, a rapidly growing enterprise in the hospitality and entertainment sector, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Lead Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations in Las Vegas, Nevada, US . This senior position is responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. The Lead Financial Controller will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial future and ensuring its long-term stability and profitability. Key responsibilities include directing and supervising the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. You will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. The role requires developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. You will lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop realistic financial plans. Tax planning and compliance activities, including coordination with external auditors, will also be a significant part of the role. Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness is a core requirement. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a CPA designation is mandatory. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or controller role, is required. Extensive knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations is essential. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel are necessary. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills are critical. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders. Experience in the hospitality or gaming industry is a strong plus.
