The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) provides comprehensive and personalized Mental Health services to patients remotely. Essential Duties And Responsibilities ? Conduct virtual patient assessments, including collecting medical history, and diagnosing and treating common Mental Health illnesses. ? Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients. ? Order, interpret and provide appropriate follow up for diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions. ? Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, adhering to evidence-based guidelines and considering patient preferences and limitations. ? Monitor patient progress, assess outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize patient care. ? Provide patient education and support, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. ? Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care. ? Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient encounters. ? Stay current with advancements in healthcare technology, telemedicine practices, and relevant professional guidelines and standards. ? Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in virtual care. Qualifications

Expected For Position ? Board Certification by ANCC or AANP ? Post-Masters Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health ? Valid Nurse Practitioner license and certification in the state where the virtual Mental Health practice is based. ? Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. ? Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with either a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) mandatory ? Active Prescriptive authority and DEA and/or CDS number ? Ability to work independently and efficiently in a virtual setting, demonstrating strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills. ? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and interdisciplinary teams remotely. ? Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems. ? Strong commitment to patient-centered care, empathy, and cultural sensitivity. ? Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving virtual care practices and embrace innovative technologies. ? Dedication to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning. ?
