Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Legalist is a tech-enabled alternative asset manager that invests in uncorrelated legal and government-payment assets. They are seeking an entrepreneurial, motivated sales professional to identify and close new business opportunities in the personal injury plaintiff market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with prospective law firm partners
  • Facilitate introductory calls, manage the diligence processes, and guide opportunities through the decision-making process
  • Maintain and nurture a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Negotiate commercial terms and drive transactions to close
  • Partner directly with leadership to help refine strategy, tailor messaging, and target profiles
  • Help build our foundational sales processes and best practices as the strategy scales

Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in full cycle sales, business development, investment sourcing, or other relevant relationship-driven roles
  • Proven track record of independently sourcing and closing opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as the ability to adjust tone and approach based on audience
  • Strong negotiation, and relationship-building skills to build trust with senior professionals who are not easy to reach and are skeptical of traditional sales outreach
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder decision-making processes
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy, including building your own target lists, crafting your own outreach, and developing your sales strategy without a rigid playbook
  • You're excited about the opportunity to build a new strategy
  • Experience working with law firms or professional services businesses
  • Familiarity with the personal injury plaintiff bar is a plus
  • Experience managing complex transactions or consultative sales processes
