Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform and is seeking a Founding Product Designer for Financial Services to lead the product design of innovative financial services products. The role involves defining product design vision, managing a design team, and ensuring cohesive user experiences across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product design vision and strategy for the Fanatics Credit Card and supporting products
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams to bring innovative ideas to life while ensuring cohesive, fan-focused experiences
  • Establish and scale design systems, processes, and best practices across teams
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing product design team
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and user-centered design
  • Provide clear career development paths, coaching, and feedback to help designers grow
  • Oversee end-to-end design execution for high-priority initiatives, from discovery through delivery
  • Ensure designs are informed by user research, data insights, and usability testing
  • Drive quality, consistency, and accessibility in design outputs across platforms (web, mobile, retail touchpoints)
  • Act as a key partner to executive leadership, influencing product roadmaps and business priorities through design thinking
  • Communicate design strategy and impact effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Champion the voice of the customer across the organization

Skills

  • 12+ years of product design experience, with at least 5 years in design leadership roles
  • Proven experience scaling design teams and systems in a fast-paced, high-growth digital environment
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design leadership on consumer-facing digital products (sports, gaming, or entertainment a plus)
  • Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices, design thinking, and user research methods
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
