We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Open Source Digital Footprint Intelligence Analyst whose primary responsibility is to investigate, map, and assess the complete online presence of individuals. This role centers on uncovering publicly available information across the open web, social platforms, forums, data breaches, and obscure OSINT sources to identify risks, vulnerabilities, impersonations, and potential threats associated with a person’s digital identity. The ideal candidate will have strong investigative instincts, advanced OSINT tradecraft, and the ability to transform raw online data into clear, accurate, and actionable intelligence reports. This position requires discretion, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of how individuals’ online behaviors, exposures, and digital traces can be leveraged by threat actors.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Footprint Mapping & Analysis Conduct comprehensive investigations into an individual’s online presence using OSINT tools, social media analysis, data-breach sources, public records, and specialized investigative platforms. Identify all known and unknown profiles, aliases, usernames, accounts, historical content, images, affiliations, and other personal identifiers. Analyze a subject’s online activity for privacy risks, exposure of sensitive information, behavioral indicators, or potential exploitation points. Assess relationships, network connections, and digital behaviors that may increase personal or organizational risk. Identity & Risk Investigation Detect impersonation accounts, fraudulent profiles, targeted harassment, reputation risks, or signs of social-engineering exposure. Evaluate surface web, deep web, and (when applicable) darknet sources for relevant personal information or threat indicators. Assess the likelihood and impact of personal data misuse, targeted phishing campaigns, or doxxing attempts. Identify compromised credentials, breached data, and leaked personal information tied to the subject. Intelligence Reporting & Communication Produce detailed, accurate digital-footprint intelligence reports — including findings, risk assessments, and recommended mitigation steps. Present results clearly to internal teams, executives, or clients while maintaining confidentiality and ethical handling of data. Provide strategic recommendations to minimize exposure and harden personal security posture. Track trends and behaviors that indicate evolving individual-level threats. Investigative Tradecraft & Tools Maintain strong OPSEC while conducting online investigations. Utilize OSINT tools such as: Maltego, SpiderFoot, Skopenow, Pipl, Echosec, Social Links, OSINT Framework tools, domain and metadata analysis tools, and breach-data platforms. Keep up to date with new data sources, investigative techniques, search methodologies, and threat patterns. Required Skills & Experience 3–5+ years of experience in OSINT investigations, digital-footprint analysis, threat intelligence, cyber analysis, or related investigative roles. Proven ability to uncover online identities, map an individual’s presence across platforms, and analyze digital behavior. Strong familiarity with privacy risks, doxxing tactics, social-engineering methods, and personal-security threat vectors. Experience working with sensitive personal information with high ethical and legal compliance. Excellent analytical writing skills and the ability to present complex findings clearly and professionally. Proficiency with advanced search techniques, metadata review, breach-data interpretation, and personal attribution.
