Why This Role Matters

The HR Information Systems Analyst position is a pivotal role within arenaflex’s Shared Services HR department. You will partner with cross‑functional teams—including HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll—to ensure that the organization’s HR data is accurate, secure, and leveraged to drive strategic decisions. This is more than a data entry job; it is an opportunity to shape the way arenaflex’s workforce insights are collected, analyzed, and transformed into actionable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain HRIS applications (e.g., SAP/Employee Central) to support core HR processes such as hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and performance management.
  • Develop and execute complex data queries and reports using Microsoft Excel, Access, and Business Intelligence tools to provide timely insights to HR leadership and business partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver high‑quality analytics.
  • Perform routine data quality assessments, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity across all HR systems.
  • Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 support for end‑users, troubleshooting system issues, and delivering training documentation for new functionalities.
  • Lead or contribute to HRIS project phases, including testing, documentation, change management, and post‑implementation support.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to design dashboards and visualizations that enable self‑service reporting for HR and business leaders.
  • Maintain compliance with security protocols, audit requirements, and data privacy regulations throughout all HR data handling processes.
  • Analyze historical HR data trends, identify opportunities for process improvement, and present findings to senior management.
  • Travel up to 5 % of the time for on‑site project work, training sessions, or stakeholder meetings (domestic and occasional international).

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in HR data analysis, reporting, or HRIS administration.
  • Hands‑on experience configuring, testing, and supporting HRIS platforms, preferably SAP/Employee Central.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charting, data validation) and Microsoft Access.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business‑focused language for non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a track record of identifying data trends, root‑cause issues, and recommending process enhancements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer‑service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience writing SQL queries, creating and maintaining database objects, and using reporting tools such as BusinessObjects, Cognos, or Crystal Reports.
  • Project management experience, including planning, resource coordination, and risk mitigation for HRIS implementations.
  • Familiarity with SAP Employee Central Payroll, succession planning tools, and performance management modules.
  • Knowledge of core HR domains—benefits, payroll, employee relations, talent management, and learning & development.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for creating training materials, presentations, and documentation.
  • Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce and delivering remote training sessions.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Data Integrity & Governance: Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose system issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong partnership skills to work effectively with HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll teams.
