Position Overview

The Office Technician – MLTC Data Entry role is a cornerstone of arenaflex’s claims processing operation. You will be responsible for accurately entering, reviewing, and verifying medical claim information, while providing courteous support to internal and external customers. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, the ability to maintain a rapid data‑entry pace, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high‑volume data entry of medical and NFOCUS claim forms, maintaining a minimum rate of 8,000 keystrokes per hour with at least 95% accuracy.
  • Identify, correct, and flag errors or inconsistencies in claim submissions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • File, sort, and open incoming mail, distributing documents to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
  • Copy, scan, and archive records while adhering to confidentiality and data‑security protocols.
  • Conduct research and verification of claim details, including eligibility checks and provider payment confirmations.
  • Answer inbound calls from providers, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders, delivering clear information about claim status, eligibility, and payment processes.
  • Utilize multiple mainframe computers and specialized software (Enterprise One, NFOCUS, MMIS, OnBase) to process and track claims efficiently.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems using alphabetical and numerical indexing methods.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to continuously improve workflow, reduce processing times, and enhance data quality.
  • Participate in periodic training sessions and quality‑assurance audits to stay current with evolving policies and technology.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or training in office administration, data entry, or customer service is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to type at least 8,000 keystrokes per hour with a minimum of 95% accuracy.
