[Remote] Database Administrator
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. KTek Resourcing is seeking a Database Administrator with a strong understanding of IMS DBA principles and practices. The ideal candidate will lead project delivery, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure database integrity and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project delivery from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely reporting and communication of project status
- Utilize strong IMS DBA knowledge to guide technical decisions and ensure database integrity and performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates and addressing any issues or risks that may arise
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Implement best practices in project management and delivery, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards, as well as industry regulations
Skills
- Strong knowledge and experience in IMS DBA, including database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions and technologies
- Knowledge of additional database management systems beyond IMS
- Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or relevant technical certifications
