Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Cloud Services & Social Media Customer Experience team. In this role, you will design, develop, and operate scalable service platforms that power real‑time guest interactions, social‑media support channels, and core business services. You will work closely with product owners, UX designers, and cross‑functional engineering squads to deliver resilient, high‑performance solutions that meet the exacting standards of arenaflex’s global audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain cloud‑native microservice ecosystems that support social‑media customer support, reservation systems, and other guest‑facing applications.
  • Develop robust APIs (RESTful and GraphQL) and UI components that enable seamless integration with front‑end platforms and third‑party partners.
  • Implement and evolve CI/CD pipelines using industry‑standard tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) to accelerate delivery while preserving quality.
  • Design automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, contract) and champion test‑driven development across the team.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of services using observability tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to embed best‑in‑class security controls and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Lead incident response activities, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce mean‑time‑to‑recovery (MTTR).
  • Mentor junior engineers, foster a culture of knowledge sharing, and contribute to technical design reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Partner with product managers and UX teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications that delight guests.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies (e.g., serverless, container orchestration, AI‑driven analytics) and recommending strategic adoption paths.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on large‑scale, high‑availability systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proficiency in Java 8+ and deep understanding of the Spring ecosystem (Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Redis, CloudWatch, Kinesis, and API Gateway.
  • Strong grasp of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Amazon EKS) concepts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB) and data modeling principles.
