Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, high‑performance Remote Data Entry Associate to join our healthcare claims processing team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting incoming paper and electronic claim forms into a standardized digital format, ensuring the highest level of accuracy while meeting established keystroke and speed targets. This position offers a stable, full‑time schedule with three shift options, competitive hourly compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture, validate, and input complex data from healthcare claim forms into the proprietary arenaflex digital platform.
  • Classify and index scanned images, ensuring proper organization for downstream processing.
  • Pre‑adjudicate claim documents, identify discrepancies, and correct data in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Verify data extracted by automated tools, performing manual quality checks to maintain a sub‑1 % error rate.
  • Utilize multiple source documents—including PDFs, faxed images, and handwritten forms—to corroborate and enrich claim information.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices while working under close supervision.
  • Maintain productivity benchmarks: minimum 4,000 numeric keystrokes per hour (KSPH) and 2,500 alphanumeric KSPH, with less than 1 % error.
  • Collaborate with team leads and quality assurance specialists to continuously improve data entry accuracy and efficiency.
  • Log into a secure VPN environment for all work activities, ensuring data privacy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with high accuracy; proficiency with a 10‑key numeric keypad is required.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite, internet research, and familiarity with web‑based data entry platforms.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and sustain a high level of precision.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; additional certifications in medical billing or health information management are a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Age 18 years or older.
  • Experience working remotely via VPN and a reliable high‑speed internet connection.

Preferred Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of medical claim forms (e.g., CMS‑1500, UB‑04) and healthcare reimbursement processes.
  • Prior experience in a high‑volume data entry or transcription role, especially within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with image classification tools, optical character recognition (OCR) software, and data validation utilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a sub‑1 % error rate over extended periods.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.
