Responsibilities
- Evaluate the relevance and quality of search engine results for given queries
- Assess whether search results, ads, or AI responses accurately and helpfully address user intent
- Rate and annotate results using detailed evaluation guidelines and scoring rubrics
- Provide written justification for your ratings — not just a score, but a reason
- Evaluate content across multiple categories including news, local search, e-commerce, and informational queries
- Complete a required number of tasks per week to maintain active evaluator status
- Stay current with updated evaluation guidelines as they are issued
Requirements
- No degree required — though strong general knowledge across topics is essential
- Must pass the qualification exam for the specific evaluation program
- Analytical thinker who can assess intent, relevance, and quality objectively
- Fluent English reader — you'll be evaluating English-language content
- Comfortable independently navigating websites, apps, and online tools
- Self-directed and consistent — you manage your own hours and task queue
- Reliable internet and a computer (tablet or phone work for some tasks)
