Position Overview

As a Part-Time Customer Support Specialist with arenaflex, you will serve as the first point of contact for our valued travelers, providing outstanding service across multiple communication channels including phone, email, and live chat platforms. Working remotely from your home office in Minnesota, you will handle inquiries related to ticketing, reservations, baggage, flight information, and general travel support. This is a part-time position with structured eight-hour shifts, designed to provide consistency for our team while offering flexibility to our employees. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, professional, and timely support to all internal and external customers, maintaining positive relationships that reflect the values of arenaflex.

  • Provide excellent customer service to individuals seeking to book travel, manage existing reservations, ship cargo, or process baggage-related requests.
  • Handle all aspects of ticketing and check-in using a modernized point-of-sale system, including boarding coordination, baggage handling, reservation management, and resolution of related concerns.
  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and welcoming manner, processing payments including cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons while calculating charges, providing change, and balancing daily transactions with accuracy and accountability.
  • Check in luggage and freight items, answer incoming calls to provide flight information, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and provide assistance as needed.
  • Manage challenging customer interactions resulting from oversold flights, delays, cancellations, or lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving such issues quickly and within established arenaflex guidelines.
  • Provide current and accurate fare, schedule, reservation, and flight arrival or departure information while answering general inquiries from customers and airport visitors.
  • Complete required forms, reports, and documentation in accordance with company procedures, including writing anomaly and complaint reports when necessary.
  • Adapt responsibilities based on the size and structure of the station or department, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to type and operate a computer keyboard with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the role.
  • Capacity to read and interpret documents, follow instructions, and learn ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team, interact professionally with the public, and perform effectively under stressful conditions.
  • Must successfully complete the Customer Support Specialist training program with an 80 percent or higher average and complete the required evaluation period.
  • Awareness of hazardous situations and the ability to manage emergencies when necessary.
  • Ability to work within tight time constraints and assist with rapid aircraft turnarounds when applicable.
  • Professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company dress and presentation standards.
  • Ability to perform all job functions within a confined workspace and remote environment.
