Position Overview – Remote Data Entry Associate

As a Remote Data Entry Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for converting incoming healthcare claim forms into a standardized digital format. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, a high typing speed, and the ability to work within defined productivity metrics while maintaining an error rate well below industry thresholds. You will collaborate with a supportive team, follow established procedures, and use a suite of proprietary tools to ensure each claim is accurately captured, classified, and ready for downstream processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture & Validate Complex Data: Accurately input claim details from scanned documents into arenaflex’s proprietary data entry platform.
  • Image Classification & Indexing: Assign appropriate categories and tags to each claim image to facilitate rapid retrieval and analysis.
  • Pre‑Adjudication Review: Perform initial quality checks, correct discrepancies, and flag items that require further review.
  • Verification of Automated Extraction: Cross‑check data produced by OCR and other extraction tools to ensure completeness and correctness.
  • Multi‑Source Document Synthesis: Combine information from multiple source documents (e.g., claim forms, supporting letters, and electronic records) to produce a single, accurate entry.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Follow arenaflex’s standard operating procedures, data handling policies, and security protocols at all times.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed established keystroke‑per‑hour (KSPH) targets—4,000 numeric and 2,500 alphanumeric—while maintaining an error rate under 1%.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with supervisors, quality assurance analysts, and other remote teammates to resolve ambiguities and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training sessions, webinars, and knowledge‑share forums to stay current on medical coding updates and data entry best practices.

Work Schedule & Environment

arenaflex offers three flexible shift options to accommodate a variety of personal schedules. All shifts are fully remote, and you will be provided with a secure VPN connection, a company‑issued laptop, and access to a virtual desktop environment. The available shifts are:

  • 06:00 – 14:00 CST (Morning Shift)
  • 11:00 – 19:00 CST (Midday Shift)
  • 14:00 – 22:00 CST (Evening Shift)

Regardless of the shift you choose, you will be expected to maintain a professional home office setup, including a reliable high‑speed internet connection, a quiet workspace, and a headset for occasional internal communications.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM with a proven track record of high accuracy (10‑key touch proficiency preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, internet research tools, and basic data entry software.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict productivity targets (4,000 numeric KSPH, 2,500 alphanumeric KSPH) while keeping error rates below 1%.
  • Strong attention to detail and the capacity to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of medical claim forms and healthcare terminology (preferred but not required).
  • Experience using VPN connections for secure remote work.
  • High school diploma or GED; additional certifications in medical coding or data entry are a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Age 18 or older.
