This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25 per hour and the freedom to work from anywhere in the United States, with a primary focus on supporting our Nashville hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply rigorous quantitative research methods to extract insights from large‑scale datasets, enabling data‑driven decision‑making across product, operations, and finance.
  • Develop and refine analytical models that move projects from concept to production, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Communicate findings to diverse audiences, including technical teams, cross‑functional partners, and executive leadership, using clear visualizations and storytelling techniques.
  • Leverage emerging technologies—such as machine learning, natural language processing, and cloud‑based analytics—to identify trends, forecast demand, and propose strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize statistical and quantitative analysis, predictive modeling, and evidence‑based management to guide business direction.
  • Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on best practices, data governance, and analytical techniques.
  • Collaborate on cross‑functional projects, contributing analytical expertise to initiatives ranging from process optimization to new product development.
  • Prepare and deliver regular presentations to the board and senior stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and actionable recommendations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, quantitative business analysis, or predictive analytics.
  • Proficiency in analytical programming languages and tools such as Python or R, and strong command of SQL (T‑SQL/PL‑SQL).
  • Hands‑on experience with data visualization platforms, including Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, preferably using tools like Alteryx or similar.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time‑series forecasting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of translating technical findings into business‑focused narratives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across functional teams and influencing decision‑makers.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with Agile or SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies, particularly in data‑centric project environments.
  • Background in financial data analysis, accounting fundamentals, or revenue analytics.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern data warehousing solutions.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics techniques such as clustering, classification, and deep learning.
  • Certification in data analytics or related fields (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate).

Core Competencies for Success

  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to design experiments, clean data, and apply statistical rigor to uncover hidden patterns.
  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Proactive approach to identifying business challenges and delivering data‑driven solutions.
