[Remote] Entry Level Financial Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join their client's team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to focus on translating complex data into actionable insights and supporting business decisions through financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to track performance and forecast outcomes
- Perform variance analysis (YTD, YOY) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to understand financial performance and operational impact
- Partner with cross-functional teams (including data engineering and reporting teams) to interpret data outputs and improve visibility
- Monitor and evaluate claims processing data, identifying trends and financial impacts (e.g., clinical edit savings)
- Translate data findings into meaningful insights to support business decisions
- Provide input on reporting needs and collaborate with teams on Power BI, Excel, and Epic reporting outputs
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Internship or up to 2 years of relevant experience (financial analysis, data analysis, or similar)
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and how money flows through a business
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, data analysis, formulas)
- Experience with or exposure to Power BI or similar visualization tools
- Ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions
