[Remote] Head of Finance
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. StevenDouglas is engaged exclusively to seek an exceptional Head of Finance for their client. This role involves building systems, models, dashboards, and controls to scale finance functions for multiple growth operating companies, reporting directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Experience leading a multi-entity environment which includes multiple operating companies such as private equity group, holdings company, or family office
- Investor focus - 'servant leader' approach
- Cross functionality across multiple verticals within the company
- Build the systems, models, dashboards, controls, and operating rhythms required to scale, building and leading the finance functions for multiple growth operating companies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field required
- Minimum 10 years of finance leadership experience, including within multi-entity operating environments
- Experience leading a multi-entity environment which includes multiple operating companies such as private equity group, holdings company, or family office
- Advanced financial modeling skills across forecasting, scenario analysis, liquidity planning, underwriting, and portfolio-level reporting
- Capable of building systems personally, not just directing others to build them
- Comfortable working directly with founders, principals, investors, operators, lenders, attorneys, and tax advisors
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred but not required
- Investor focus - 'servant leader' approach
- Cross functionality across multiple verticals within the company
