[Remote] Business Development Manager

Powerex is an industry leading provider of oil free compressed air and vacuum technology, seeking a business development manager dedicated to growing the Data Center power generation and other key markets. The role involves building relationships with various firms and expanding market share while collaborating with internal teams to support business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Heavy prospecting skillset calling high, wide, and deep within prospective organizations
  • Build and maintain a positive working relationship with engineers, commercial, and sourcing counterparts
  • Work with customer service and management on quoting activities including the creation and submittal of quotes for customers
  • Respond to all requests for information about products, pricing, and lead times in a timely manner
  • Liaison with territory sales counterparts to hand off accounts when necessary
  • Become a subject matter expert on primary markets and applications

Skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are a necessity
  • 2-5 years of technical sales experience
  • Experience with data centers, power generation, and emissions reduction
  • Experience working with or selling technical and/or industrial products
  • Well versed in CRM and/or Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.) for customer tracking purposes and trend analysis
  • Experience with compressed air
