Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS) - Remote
Overview
NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Skillvoraq Web Services (AWS) to design, build, secure, and operate scalable cloud platforms. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will focus on enabling engineering and product teams by providing reliable, automated, and secure cloud infrastructure following DevOps and platform engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS-based cloud platforms and shared services.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Build CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and platform reliability.
- Manage cloud networking, security, identity, and access management.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost.
- Collaborate with application, DevOps, and SRE teams to improve developer experience.
- Ensure platform compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards.
- Design architectures using AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability patterns.
- Optimize cloud cost using AWS cost management and monitoring tools.
- Maintain secure networking including VPC design, security groups, NACLs, and load balancers.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Promote DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and architecture.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Python, Bash).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
