Job Summary As a Part-Time Evaluator Psychology, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating assessments to determine students' mastery of learning objectives and course competencies. You will provide accurate, helpful, and consistent feedback to help students develop course competencies. This is a part-time, regular position (classified for less than 30 standard working hours) that offers a competitive compensation package, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate assessments to determine students' mastery of learning objectives and course competencies.
  • Feedback and Support: Prepare accurate, helpful, and consistent feedback to help students develop course competencies.
  • Evaluation Processes: Apply evaluation processes, policies, and procedures when reviewing and determining students' mastery of course learning objectives and program competencies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with team members and leadership when evaluating new and complex assessments to ensure consistent evaluation ratings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review evaluation feedback from team members and leaders, apply input as needed to ensure evaluation methods align with department and team expectations.
  • Staying Current: Stay current with updates to evaluation processes; adopt and apply updated and new evaluation processes as they occur.

Essential Qualifications

Education

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences with a focus on Mental Health and Psychology, (Behavioral Health, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner studies, Sociology, Neuropsychology) or closely related disciplines.

Experience

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience demonstrating a strong foundation in psychology, behavioral health, or sociology.
  • Online Learning: Experience with online learning in virtual educational environments.

Skills and Competencies

  • Analytical and Evaluation Skills: Ability to review students' responses on assessments and determine mastery of learning objectives and course competencies.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Technology Skills: Demonstrated competency with technology needed to evaluate and respond to students' assessments.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and apply changes to evaluation processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal Degree: Terminal degree in a related field.
  • Competency-Based Education: Work experience with competency-based education in an online environment.
