Key Responsibilities of the Remote Member Services Advocate

  • Deliver Outstanding Inbound Member Service: Serve as the first point of contact for arenaflex members calling into our high-volume contact center. Handle 100% inbound calls with professionalism, accuracy, and warmth, consistently meeting and exceeding service-level expectations.
  • Build Trust Through Every Conversation: Provide exceptional service to every caller by building rapport, demonstrating integrity, and creating sustainable relationships through open, transparent, and interactive communication.
  • Apply Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills: Research, analyze, and communicate solutions across a wide variety of scenarios. Adapt quickly to changing member needs and identify the right path forward in real time.
  • Handle Concerns With Empathy and Accuracy: Effectively manage customer concerns by leveraging available resources to provide accurate information and ensure empathetic, timely resolution. Document all interactions thoroughly and accurately within our systems.
  • Safeguard Confidential Information: Handle policyholder data with the utmost discretion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, internal protocols, and communication guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal departments — including claims, underwriting, billing, and escalation support — to ensure thorough and timely resolutions for every member interaction.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Identify trends in member feedback, share insights with leadership, and recommend process enhancements that elevate the overall member experience at arenaflex.
  • Maintain Knowledge and Compliance Standards: Stay current on arenaflex products, policies, procedures, and industry regulations to deliver informed and compliant service on every call.

Essential Qualifications We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a role where customer or member experience is a top priority (insurance industry or call center experience strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude, including proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Technical aptitude with proven experience navigating and operating multiple computer applications, browsers, and telephone technologies simultaneously.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 5 Mbps, with the ability to support a secure VPN connection.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; some college-level coursework is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to convey empathy and clarity.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation and discipline to thrive in a remote work-from-home environment.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Working knowledge of life insurance company operations, policies, procedures, and products.
  • Completion of insurance industry or LOMA coursework (Life Office Management Association) — a strong plus.
  • Prior experience using CRM platforms, policy administration systems, or contact center software.

  • Experience working in a metrics-driven environment where quality and performance are measured regularly.
