About This Role: Accounts Payable Specialist We're seeking an experienced and skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to manage our AP processes and credit card transactions. As a key member of our Accounting Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, maintaining strong financial controls, and driving success in our financial operations. If you're a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a passion for accounting and finance, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and credit limits
- Reconcile credit card transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures to ensure financial statements are accurate and up-to-date
- Assist with audits and financial reporting as needed, providing support and guidance to our accounting team
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and resolve any issues that may arise
Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a unique blend of skills, experience, and personal qualities. Here are some of the essential requirements and qualifications we're looking for:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices
- At least 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, with a proven track record of success in financial operations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and issues
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite (Mail, Sheets, Drive, etc.), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
- Autonomous and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable internet access and a laptop, with a dedicated workspace that is quiet, private, and free from distractions

Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications and skills will be highly regarded:
