Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics & Insight Generation

  • Own the end‑to‑end analytics lifecycle for the assigned national retail partner, from data ingestion to insight delivery.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines that capture POS transactions, syndicated market data, and internal shipment metrics.
  • Identify growth opportunities, margin improvement levers, and market share trends through deep dive analyses.
  • Produce executive‑level presentations that distill complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

Program & Assortment Management

  • Monitor the field execution of vendor programs, ensuring alignment with agreed‑upon assortment strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to adjust SKU mix, promotional calendars, and inventory allocations based on analytical insights.
  • Track performance against predefined KPIs, such as sales velocity, profit contribution, and fill‑rate targets.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary analytics liaison between arenaflex, the retail partner, and key suppliers, translating data into business language that resonates across audiences.
  • Facilitate regular business reviews, presenting findings, progress updates, and forward‑looking plans.
  • Partner with category managers, sales leaders, and supply chain specialists to drive joint initiatives that enhance market performance.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Stay abreast of emerging analytics methodologies, industry benchmarks, and technology advancements.
  • Champion the adoption of best‑in‑class analytical tools and processes within the organization.
  • Mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigor, and data‑driven decision making.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; a focus on the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical roles within the beverage or broader CPG industry, with a strong preference for exposure to large‑scale retail environments.
  • Proven ability to synthesize disparate data sources—such as POS, internal shipment logs, and market research—into concise, action‑oriented recommendations.
  • Deep understanding of national chain sales dynamics, retail operations, and distributor relationships.
  • Expertise in category management principles, shopper and consumer insight analysis, and the ability to translate those insights into growth strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting complex analyses to audiences ranging from senior executives to front‑line sales teams.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset, with a track record of making data‑backed decisions in fast‑paced environments.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and macros) and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with syndicated data platforms (e.g., arenaflex, arenaflex) and household panel data.
  • Familiarity with retail analytics tools and data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including the capacity to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • Experience working with major national retailers (formerly known as Costco) and navigating their unique operational requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with occasional extended hours, overtime, and weekend work to meet critical business deadlines.
