[Remote] Procurement AI Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Lockheed Martin's Supply Chain Analytics and Affordability (SCAA) Team is looking for an experienced AI Engineer to support Corporate Procurement Operations. The individual will work closely with the LM Data and AI offices to explore and develop AI capabilities specific to Supply Chain needs, driving the development cycles from prototype through production-ready AI technology.

Responsibilities

  • Be involved in the inception of ideas and drive the development cycles from prototype through production ready AI technology to advanced Supply Chain capabilities
  • Serve as the algorithm expert with up-to-date knowledge on modern AI research
  • Implements GenAI solutions to increase efficiency of Procurement and Sourcing processes
  • Applies latest research on AI algorithms and trains machine learning / deep learning models to solve a variety of problems
  • Optimizes the performance of AI algorithms, applications, and platforms
  • Creates production grade AI applications to enable and enhance Procurement processes
  • Develops and documents algorithm and implementation requirements

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Strong understanding of neural networks, computer vision, natural language processing, and/or reinforcement learning
  • Experience in LLMs, RAG architecture, and GenAI
  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions
  • Proficiency in data processing and analysis using tools such as SQL, R, and/or Pandas
  • US Citizenship
  • Experience transitioning modern AI solutions from prototype to production, particularly GenAI solutions
  • Knowledge of LM supply chain processes and data
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP Systems, Applications and Processes and data constructs
  • Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple technical teams

  • Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
  • Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
  • These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
  • Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site.
  • Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
  • (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
  • Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
  • PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
