They are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join their Wired Applications team, responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for complex networking products while collaborating with global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and maintain technical documentation including Command Reference, User Guide, Configuration Guide, Troubleshooting Guide, Release Notes, and Deployment Guide
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, proactively align on deliverables, and surface risks or blockers early — before they impact timelines
  • Maintain documentation standards, templates, and information architecture in alignment with the Extreme Networks Style Guide
  • Use structured authoring tools and CCMS platforms such as oXygen and Heretto
  • Continuously improve existing content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy
  • Drive content review and approval workflows with stakeholders, ensuring timely sign-off
  • Manage project timelines independently, consistently meet deadlines, and communicate schedule risks proactively with recommended mitigations
  • Prepare and submit documents for publishing in compliance with AI quality standards set by the User Enablement team
  • Actively engage with AI-assisted documentation workflows, including prompt crafting, output review, and iterative refinement using tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and Rovo
  • Champion a culture of proactive communication — anticipate information gaps, keep cross-functional partners informed without being asked, and raise issues through the right channels at the right time
