[Remote] Data Analyst

They are seeking a Data Analyst to unlock the power of data for strategic decisions, transforming raw data into visualizations and insights to support customer understanding and decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Unlock the power of data to drive strategic decisions and shape the future of our business
- Harness expertise in basic statistics, business fundamentals, and communication to uncover valuable insights and transform raw data into rigorous visualizations and compelling stories
- Work closely with customers as part of a top-notch team
- Dive deep into vast IT datasets, unraveling mysteries hidden within, and discovering trends and patterns
- Draw compelling conclusions and develop data-driven insights that impact decision-making processes
- Utilize domain expertise, critical thinking, and consulting skills to unravel complex business problems and translate them into innovative solutions
- Gather, explore, and prepare data ensuring it is primed for analysis, business intelligence, and insightful visualizations
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather, structure, organize, and clean data
- Understand business objectives and success criteria of each project to align data analysis efforts with overarching goals
- Transform data into meaningful narratives that drive real-world impact
Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of data analysis experience
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
- Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as industrial engineering, finance, or economics
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. Looker, Power BI, QuickSight, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, Python, R, or SQL)
- Professional certification, e.g., ASQ Six Sigma
- Cloud platform certification, e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, Google Cloud Looker Business Analyst, or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
