The role involves performing mechanical and harness routing design activities, releasing engineering drawings, and supporting aircraft modification.
Responsibilities
- Support the Flight Test Instrumentation team working the F-35 lines of business
- Perform mechanical and harness routing design activities for the installation of flight test equipment and data system components
- Responsible for releasing engineering drawings
- Work instructions
- Supporting airworthiness documentation
- Monitoring fabrication activities
- Supporting aircraft modification
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, preferred, STEM degree required
- 3+ years of recent CATIA V5 experience
- 3+ years of 2D/3D mechanical design experience in an aerospace environment
- Active Secret Clearance Required
- Previous experience with instrumentation (flight or ground) preferred
- Previous experience with the F-35 program-specific tools and processes desired
