Role Overview – Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist to join our Customer Voice (VOC) analytics team. In this role, you will act as the bridge between live‑chat interactions and our enterprise‑wide data platform, ensuring that every customer conversation is captured, transformed, and leveraged to drive strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with utility and product teams to translate business requirements into robust data models.
  • Capture, cleanse, and enrich live‑chat transcripts, turning raw conversational data into actionable insights for the Voice of the Customer (VOC) program.
  • Design and implement scalable record‑model architectures that support high‑volume data ingestion and standardized metric definitions.
  • Leverage big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to build batch and real‑time analytical solutions.
  • Conduct rigorous data quality testing, ensuring accuracy and consistency across multiple use‑case scenarios.
  • Provide recommendations to improve data processing efficiency within the massive data ecosystem.
  • Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts (Shell, PySpark, Python) that streamline data entry and transformation workflows.
  • Partner with Global Service Network (GSN) and Analytics Engineering Team (AET) to prioritize, define, and monitor data pipelines for diverse VOC initiatives.
  • Proactively identify repetitive manual tasks and automate them to boost productivity and reduce error rates.
  • Document technical specifications, data lineage, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing across the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and shell scripting in a data‑engineering context.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product managers and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and incremental releases.
  • Proven track record of delivering high‑quality data solutions in fast‑paced, remote environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
