Job Description: Shipping and Receiving Associate Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Associate is tasked with overseeing the warehouse activities in all retail stores. Spanning from supervising warehouse specialists, forklift operators, and order pickers to supporting the Receiving Shipping and Receiving Associate in managing daily delivery schedules based on customer and inventory needs. Shipping and Receiving Associate Major Duties: • Manage the daily work schedule of warehouse employees to improve the effectiveness of shipping and receiving processes. • Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse by managing the various tasks related to shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control. • Successfully managing Storage Buy transactions requires a well-coordinated system that takes into account inventory levels, customer demand, and shipping logistics. • Keep your warehouse equipment functioning optimally with consistent preventive maintenance and repairs. • Make sure that the warehouse is a safe and compliant workplace by adhering to the rules and regulations set forth by OSHA. • It's essential to educate team members on the proper policies and guidelines for carrying out daily duties. • Attend to employee inquiries with a high degree of empathy and understanding to help ensure their satisfaction and retention. • Ensure proper coordination between departments to maintain a seamless warehouse operation. • Our activity reports will give management a detailed view of the company's overall performance, as well as individual departments or teams. • Ensure that the paperwork in transit from the Receiving department to the Inventory Control Specialist does not get lost or misplaced. • Rectifying Differences in Shipping, Invoices, Packing Slips, and Receiver Reports. • Enforce the Examination Plan for Procuring Storage. • Simplify the task of inventory control and inspection by making use of stage products. • By emphasizing the importance of good storage and inventory rotation practices, businesses can ensure product quality and reduce waste while also improving profitability. • Perform any other responsibilities instructed by those in charge. Shipping and Receiving Associate Professional Background: • One to three years of Shipping and Receiving Associatey experience in a warehouse or distribution center is mandatory for the candidate. • Exceptional skills in building positive interpersonal relationships, developing effective teams, delegating tasks, and ensuring proper follow-through and accountability. • Demonstrating the ability to work in harmony with colleagues from different units. • Well-developed communication skills in both verbal and written forms. • Skilled in fundamental arithmetic computations. • Well-versed in managing and navigating through Windows-based computer systems. • Skill in performing well in a fast-track work environment and meeting deadlines proficiently. • Capability to work overtime to meet demands during busy periods. PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS • The job involves the physical ability to carry, lift, push, pull or move items weighing up to 60 pounds with occasional frequency and 20-30 pounds frequently. • Skill set that includes deftly handling and perceiving objects with precision and sensitivity. • Many routine movements, including standing, walking, and reaching, require minimal effort.
