Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves working with students who require specialized instruction and support. You will collaborate with parents, support staff, and other educators to create and implement effective individualized education plans (IEPs). Our districts are looking to interview as soon as possible!! Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement engaging, individualized lesson plans tailored to students' needs. • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary. • Collaborate with parents, therapists, and educational staff to support student learning. • Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation. • Provide guidance and support to students in a virtual learning environment. • Stay current with best practices in special education and virtual teaching methodologies. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (South Dakota licensure required). • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with technology and online teaching platforms. • Ability to create a positive and inclusive virtual classroom environment.
